There are few things more exciting than walking up to a trail camera after weeks, or even months, not knowing what you're about to find. Sometimes it's exactly what you hoped for. Sometimes it's something completely unexpected, but trail cameras do more than capture incredible wildlife photographs.

They help document the species that share our landscapes, reveal seasonal movements and behaviours, and create opportunities for communities to become directly involved in conservation. They also provide powerful stories that connect people with wildlife in places they know and love.

That's what makes trail cameras so special. As much as we’d love to imagine ourselves as simple observers, the felt presence of a human can influence the behaviour of wildlife in ways that a trail camera does not. With minimal disruption or influence, these cameras help us tell the animals' stories.

This summer, we're inviting Albertans to help us tell more of those stories and take part in something that gives back twice.

Our Win Big for the Wild 50/50 Raffle will help expand Exposed Wildlife Conservancy's Community Trail Camera Project, with the goal of purchasing ten new solar-powered trail cameras for use in communities across central Alberta.

‍

Every camera we add gives us another opportunity to learn, document wildlife, engage local communities, and build the understanding that makes coexistence possible.

‍

And yes, one lucky supporter will also take home 50% of the net proceeds.
