We’re excited to announce two newly revised elements of social outreach we’ll be using to keep you informed about our progress as a conservancy!

In January 2016, we started the web series, Exposed with John E. Marriott, as a way to raise awareness about wildlife conservation issues in Canada and beyond, using images, video and story-telling as a means to engage you, our loyal audience.

Provincial governments in Canada have not meaningfully updated the provincial trapping regulations since the 1930s, resulting in tens of thousands of wolves and other canids being trapped, killed and skinned each year across the country in inhumane and inefficient neck snares for the fashion industry.

The Alberta government has slaughtered more than 1200 wolves in the name of caribou recovery since 2005, yet the caribou numbers in the Little Smoky and A La Peche have not recovered at all. Meanwhile, the government has continued to allow oil and gas development and forest harvesting and has not set aside a single piece of caribou habitat for protection.
